Nobody was injured after shots were fired Monday night at a gas station just down the road from Eden Prairie High School, where a shooting occurred last week during a homecoming football game.
At around 8:45 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired at the Speedway gas station on the 16000 block of West 78th Street.
Eden Prairie police said no one was injured and that four people have been detained.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident that comes just days after two teenagers were injured in a shooting during Eden Prairie’s homecoming football game on Friday.

Three independent law enforcement sources confirmed to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that the shooting was related to Somali gang activity.

Police said before the shooting, a large altercation had occurred on the west side of Aerie Stadium, where the football game was being played. Shortly after this incident was broken up and some involved were removed from the stadium grounds, police said a shooting was reported in the high school’s parking lot.
Neither of the students who were injured attends Eden Prairie Schools, according to officials.
On Monday night, a neighboring community, Edina, held a community town hall-style meeting to address gang violence following recent incidents in the city.
