The EU Heads of Missions at the United Nations in Rome met today to discuss our common priorities at FAO, WFP and IFAD. The current escalation of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine in the Black Sea and its serious impact on global food security was the central theme of our exchanges. We also discussed the leadership renewal at the Rome-based UN agencies and prepared for the upcoming Plenary Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS 54).
