Three people have been arrested following a report of people in possession of a possible firearm in Fife.
Police received a report of two men in possession of what appeared to be a gun on Victoria Street in Ladybank at about 15:20.
Officers, including firearms officers, were called in and a firearm was recovered. Tthere were no injuries.
Two men, aged 32 and 47, and a woman, aged 28, have been arrested in connectionn with the incident.
Police say extensive inquiries remain ongoing and anyone with concerns or information should approach officers or contact Police Scotland, external.
