Qorvis has named Victor Shiblie senior advisor to boost its international network and global business opportunities. He did a more than 25-year stint as president & publisher of The Washington Diplomat, which serves DC’s embassy row. It is circulated across more than 180 foreign embassies, US government institutions, multinational corporations, and international organizations. Shiblie helped produce high-level policy forums, international conferences, and economic-development programs bringing together ambassadors, senior government officials, corporate executives and international leaders. Qorvis CEO Matt Lauer said Shiblie understands how the power of media, relationships and communications in international affairs works. “Few people in Washington have built the breadth of relationships across the diplomatic, media and international business communities that Victor has,” he added. Shiblie also held leadership positions at the Ambassadors Ball Host Committee, Passport DC, the World Affairs Council, and the Arab American Business & Professional Association Institute.
