EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Texas Attorney General and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton has canceled a campaign rally scheduled for Nov. 1 in El Paso, according to an update.
The event had been planned for Orca Event Venue, 11323 Rojas Drive, with doors opening at 3:30 p.m.
Paxton’s team is evaluating whether to reschedule the rally for another date, the update said.
Paxton’s campaign had announced the visit as he faces Democratic state Rep. James Talarico in a closely watched Senate race.
Talarico held an El Paso campaign event on Oct. 26, according to the earlier report.
Election Day is Nov. 3. The update said Paxton plans to return to El Paso after the election, but did not provide a new date.
