About 50 firefighters were tackling a "large" field fire in Hampshire on Sunday, said a fire service.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) said crews from Basingstoke, Alton, Andover, Beaulieu, Whitchurch, Overton, Alresford, Rushmoor, Sutton Scotney and Stockbridge were at the scene of the blaze on Drove Road in Chilbolton.
An Incident Command Unit and crews from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were also working to extinguish the blaze after it was first reported shortly after 16:30 BST.
HIWFRS asked members of the public to avoid the area due to the number of emergency services vehicles on the scene.
One Danish and one Greek national died in the incident, while a British pilot and another Greek crew member survived.
Five engines and specialist equipment are fighting the blaze in Wykeham Forest near Dalby.
Firefighters create breaks up to 12m wide (39ft) to stop any flames or embers spreading.
State officials said wildfires across more than 250,000 acres have led to widespread evacuations and power outages.
