Foley Hoag announced today that Brandon Cuffy has joined the firm's M&A and Private Equity practice groups and its Private Capital industry group as a partner in its Washington, DC office.
Cuffy focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, strategic financial transactions, private fund formation, and general corporate law. He represents private equity sponsors, portfolio company management teams, independent sponsors, traditional and self-funded searchers, and founder-led operating companies across the financial services, technology, life sciences, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors.
“Brandon's practice reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of private capital, private equity, and strategic transactions,” said Meredith A. Haviland, co-chair of the firm’s Private Capital Group. “His experience advising sponsors, investors, management teams, and companies on acquisitions, investments, and growth initiatives will further strengthen our private capital capabilities.”
Cuffy advises clients on leveraged buyouts, add-on acquisitions, sales to private equity and strategic buyers, capitalization management, corporate governance matters, and other complex business transactions. He has significant experience advising middle-market private equity sponsors and senior company management on transactional, operational, and governance matters.
“Foley Hoag’s strong market reputation and industry-focused approach to serving clients made the firm an ideal fit,” said Cuffy. “I’m eager to collaborate across the firm to advance Foley Hoag’s already substantial offering of transactional services and to help my clients execute transactions that support their continued growth.”
Cuffy earned his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law and his B.S. from the University of Maryland. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions Law and was selected as a Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
