Minaurum wraps Alamos drilling with Africa find – Mining.com.au

Minaurum Silver (TSX-V:MGG) has completed its 50,000m Alamos Silver Project drill program, with a resource update due this quarter.
The phase-two program in Sonora, Mexico, totals 50,356.15m across 138 holes. Final results feed into the updated mineral resource estimate.
Hole AL26-274 returned 2.8m @ 751 grams per tone silver equivalent (AgEq) at the newly discovered Africa vein, including 0.50m at 1,579g/t AgEq. The vein sits about 50m into the footwall of the Europa Sur zone.
At Quintera, hole AL26-279 returned 5.3m @ 385g/t AgEq. Meanwhile, hole AL26-206 cut a gold-rich footwall interval of 4.4m @ 439g/t AgEq, grading 4.5g/t gold.
The company plans further drilling to test the lateral and vertical continuity of that zone.
Further, Promontorio Sur hole AL26-272 returned 12.2m @ 238g/t AgEq, dominated by lead and zinc.
The company announced an initial inferred resource of 55.2 million ounces AgEq in January, grading 320g/t AgEq across 5.37 million tonnes. That estimate covers three of 26 identified vein zones.
CEO Darrell Rader says the results “set the stage for our upcoming resource update”.
“The Europa and Promontorio zones remain open along strike and at depth,” Rader states.
“Overall, the phase-two resource-expansion program has been a significant success, highlighting compelling opportunities to further expand the Alamos resource.”
Minaurum Silver is a Canadian explorer advancing a portfolio of silver and base metals assets in Mexico and Nevada, US, including the Lone Mountain CRD Project.
