Ozzfest 2027 will be the first time the event has taken place since the death of the Black Sabbath frontman
Ozzfest 2027 will return to Milton Keynes for what will be its first festival since the Black Sabbath frontman's death last year.
In March, Sharon Osbourne said plans were being made to bring the heavy metal festival, which she founded with her husband Ozzy Osbourne, to Villa Park in Birmingham for next year.
However, the official website has revealed the event will take place at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes on 10 July.
In comments published by NME, external, Sharon said that "unfortunately" ongoing construction work at Villa Park meant the venue could not host live music.
"We had to relocate to Milton Keynes," she said. "The choice was to move Ozzfest or postpone it for another year."
Ozzfest previously took place at the National Bowl in 1998 (pictured) and 2001
The family moved to Welders House, an old mansion near the village of Jordans in Buckinghamshire, in 1993.
He died at the the house in 2025.
The couple launched Ozzfest in 1996 with two events, held in Phoenix, Arizona, and San Bernardino, California.
In 1998, the first UK edition took place at the National Bowl.
It has happened more sporadically since 2010 and the 2027 event will be the first since Ozzy headlined a line-up in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve in 2018.
Previous Ozzfest performers include Iron Maiden, Slipknot and Marilyn Manson.
The 2027 festival line-up will be curated by Sharon.
After launching in Milton Keynes next year, the festival will head to Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California, on 11 September.
The inaugural Mexican edition will then take place at Estadio GNP Seguros in the country's capital on 18 September.
