Tributes have been paid to a "beloved" man who was found dead in a caravan in Leicestershire, prompting a murder investigation.
Ashley Menzel, 42, was found in a caravan parked in a lay-by on the A6 Derby Road in Loughborough after police were called to the area at about 23:40 BST on 6 July.
Detectives said Menzel, who was pronounced dead at the scene, had reported being involved in an altercation in the days before he was found.
In a statement, his family said: "Ashley was a beloved son, brother, boyfriend, uncle and nephew."
"He was a beloved member of the family who will be deeply missed by all of us," the statement continued.
"He was his mum's little boy and his dad's best friend.
"Though he had recently been going through a hard time, he was on the road to recovery before his life was brought to a sad and abrupt end."
Two men, 56 and 42, who were arrested on suspicion of murder, remain on bail while inquiries continue.
