Onondaga County lawmakers will further discuss this week whether or not to seek a court ruling that County Executive Ryan McMahon’s approval of a term-limits law is valid even though he meant to veto it.
The legislature’s Ways and Means Committee is meeting Tuesday. Lawmakers will weigh taking proposed legal action to get the law McMahon mistakenly approved on the November ballot.
McMahon has claimed his signing of the paperwork approving the legislation was a “clerical error,” and that he had been vocal about his intention to veto it.
